Jet lag is the result of disrupting your body’s circadian clock. The most troublesome aspect of traveling across time zones is the chaos it causes to your daily schedule, rather than the physical consequences of thirst and fatigue. Even so, neither is very helpful on lengthy flights. When traveling east or west across time zones, the symptoms of jet lag are more noticeable than when traveling north or south within time zones. However, you might be flying north and east, for example.
